Zurich makes sales agreement with PostFinance

Zurich, June 2, 2008 - Zurich and PostFinance have concluded a sales agreement. Starting June 1, 2008, PostFinance customers will benefit from more affordable property insurance and Zurich employees will receive a higher interest rate for their PostFinance savings account.

Zurich and PostFinance, the biggest Swiss insurer worldwide and the fifth largest financial institution in Switzerland will join forces. PostFinance now offers the property insurance of Zurich Connect, the direct Zurich insurer in Switzerland, at its financial portal www.postfinance.ch and is thereby enhancing the existing product line. This means that the financial institution can offer its customers even more products from one source. As the market leader in the direct insurance business, Zurich Connect has been offering attractive insurance solutions for 14 years. With the sales agreement with PostFinance, it can expand its clientele and extend its leading position.

Up to 25 percent discount on property insurance

Approximately two million private customers of PostFinance will benefit from the attractive premiums which will apply starting June 1, 2008. The discount amounts up to 25 percent and applies to property insurance such as householder's insurance, motor vehicle or personal liability insurance. Also, E-finance customers will receive a one-time credit of up to 50 francs when they conclude insurance at Zurich Connect.

Higher interest rate for Zurich employees

PostFinance will offer special terms for the deposit account (savings account) for the approximately 6,700 Zurich employees in Switzerland. They will also receive benefits for other PostFinance offers.
