14 years of successful direct insurance in Switzerland
Zurich, Juli 7, 2008 - Zurich Switzerland is celebrating 14 years of its direct insurance line and, with Zurich Connect, is now the undisputed market leader in Switzerland. With the related summer campaign launched, Zurich Connect is awarding, amongst others, its 200,000 customers for their trust and for recommending Zurich Connect to others.
On July 7, 1994, Zurich Switzerland has been the first insurance company in Switzerland to offer direct insurance. Today, Zurich Connect is the undisputed market leader. «Thanks to our 14 years of experience, we have been able to offer a very attractive price-performance-solution, not only to private customers, but also to a large number of distribution partners», explains Yvonne Lang Ketterer, Head of Direct & Distribution Partners.
Intensive use of direct conclusion opportunities
Today, more than 200,000 customers are benefiting from the opportunities to directly effect an insurance thanks to simple processes, a competent and customer-friendly staff and, last but not least, favorable premiums. More than one third of interested customers accesses Zurich Connect via the internet, where they can create their offer themselves in a simple and speedy manner. However, the majority of customers still prefer to contract insurance over the telephone. This is why Zurich Connect values professional advice provided by telephone. More than 70 employees advise our customers, in four languages. Above and beyond this, in case of damage, all of Zurich Connect’s customers benefit from the renowned and uncomplicated services provided at our 26 Help Points within Switzerland.
Summer campaign – Up to 500 Swiss francs for existing customers
Zurich Connect is implementing a summer campaign to coincide with its 14th anniversary. This includes a broad advertising campaign and a campaign for existing customers whereby they recommend Zurich Connect to people they know. Anyone who recommends Zurich Connect to up to three new customers, who effects an insurance with Zurich Connect, will receive retail vouchers with a value of up to 500 Swiss francs. The new customers who are contracting insurance will also receive a retail voucher valued at 50 Swiss francs. The campaign is running from now until September 30, 2008.
